Gilmour's Description
If you've been to Christopher's in Covent Garden, then you'd reckon this one is a sure winner. Christopher Gilmour's much-awaited Chelsea entrant in Park Walk, decked up in shades of teal and chocolate brown, is a place to experience sophisticated dining with the cooking being a celebration of British gastronomy with an added twist.
So get that gleaming cutlery together to feast on starters of salmon fishcake with wilted spinach and basil cream, and buttermilk fried salt and pepper squid with rouille and lemon. For a main course consider roast corn-fed chicken breast accessorised with tarragon, spring vegetable ragout and truffled cauliflower puree, or slow roast belly of Blythburgh, Suffolk pork with apple sauce and mash. Featuring prominently in the dessert list are addictive spoonfuls of chocolate marquis with pistachio cream and honey and lavender crème brûlée.
The copper fronted bar area at Gilmour's blends seamlessly with the vintage wood panelling and the hand-picked wine list is easy on the pocket.
