Many years ago we booked a table as part of my daughters 21st. The owners were brilliant allowing us to drop off our own surprise birthday cake and Champagne - they didn't even charge corkage! We have been back several times and it just keeps getting better. Fantastic menu, friendly atmosphere and fuss free service. Sowerby Bridge 'quaint'? Not so sure about that!

If you've always wanted to eat in a really special place, then you have arrived, the minute you walk through the door of ‘Ghimbals.’ My wife and I have been eating here for years. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. A good menu selection means that even the fussiest of eaters will not be disappointed. Good wine list and the staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant itself is so cosy you just feel so at home. We can't wait for our next visit.
