Ginger Pig, The Description

The Ginger Pig is the latest venture set up by husband and wife team, Ben and Pamela McKellar, of Gingerman Restaurant fame, continuing their philosophy to create fresh, simply cooked, seasonal dishes in an environment as hearty as the food served. This is a warm, friendly pub with good, honest, traditional food with a modern twist.

Having been to The Ginger Pig now many times, hat’s off to all the members of staff, especially Kat and Moira. We went again for Tuesday lunch to be greeted by Kat and were well looked after. We were pleased that they have introduced a smaller and less expensive steak dish just enough for lunch time. We will be back soon.

Last night I went to The Ginger Pig for the first time, I had soup from the specials board and it was so delicious. Then I had the steak for my main course and it was incredible - the best steak I have had in years. I had the chocolate torte for dessert and it was okay but nothing special. Overall I had a lovely time and would recommend it.
