Glass Room Restaurant, The Description
This so-called jinxed spot has not deterred the new owners who now run The Glass Room restaurant in a location where a number of other restaurants have wilted under the test of time and finicky public. Potted plants flourish in the conservatory like atmosphere while the glass ceiling brings together an element of clean and bright spaciousness, adding to the chic appeal of this Italian restaurant.
Pastas do the round here with ease, and amongst the choices, those with seafood such as crabs, prawns, lobsters, linguine are excellent, allowing you to deliberate on the freshness and natural taste of the dishes. Desserts include the perennial favourite, tiramisu, and a selection of ice creams. The wine list is extensive and covers such tried and tested sources as Italy, France and the New World.
Fixed Lunch
- £16.50 (2 courses), Mon - Sat
Your Reviews of Glass Room Restaurant, The

The service was great, very friendly and professional. The food was even better, try some of their seafood pasta specialities, the lobster and crab dishes are great and the price was good value. In wine ask for Franco, he has a good selection of little known but great wines. A number of friends now travel miles to visit this place. We have been there around ten times. A magazine I read, described it as ‘the best small Italian restaurant in London’ - I can only absolutely agree. Five stars from me!

I was wondering why this place can be so quiet sometimes. The food is well presented, tasty and original. The service is attentive, friendly and the manager is all smiles. The wine list can please different tastes and the price is just honest, as the food. I personally suggest the shellfish platter with fresh scallops, langoustine, lobster, crab and black ink pasta - a dish for two that doesn't require a side and well priced for the freshness. Try it with the pecorino wine, from Abruzzo. The service is good and friendly and the chairs are quite comfortable.
