Glasshouse Restaurant, The Description
The Glasshouse is just a short hop from Kew Gardens tube. A contemporary restaurant from the same stable as premier restaurants, Chez Bruce and The Square. The sleek glass frontage gives the restaurant its name and benefits the interior with a light and airy feel. Chef Anthony Boyd's cooking is first rate with plenty to excite your palate. Dishes worthy of a special mention include cod fillet with asparagus and pea puree, rib-eye steak with snail and garlic butter, or black bream with squid, shrimp and chorizo sausage paella. Desserts are definitely a must with champagne trifle and an exotic choice of sorbets.
Children's helpings at Saturday and Sunday lunch.

Your Reviews of Glasshouse Restaurant, The
Victoria Armour (4 January 2005)
I love this restaurant, I have only ever been for lunch but it is fabulous. The food and drinks are of superior quality at fair prices. The restaurant itself is light and airy, someone was smoking at the table next to us and I couldn't even smell it, wonderful. I love the selection on the menu, I tried rabbit for the first time, which I didn't think I'd like, but I really enjoyed it. A great restaurant, and lovely staff too.
Paul Fothergill (28 April 2004)
There are too few of these restaurants in the London area - superb food at a 'reasonable-ish' price. Service is attentive without being stuffy and all the staff seem focused on making your dining experience as nice as possible, rather than viewing you as a bit of an inconvenience (as seems the norm in many restaurants nowadays). Wine list is reasonably priced - starting from about £18 a bottle. One thing - it’s gone completely non-smoking - so bear in mind when booking.
