Our destination was the Glass House last Saturday week, and we arrived to a very warm welcome to the restaurant that delivers the most amazing starters, mains and desserts. We enjoyed the chargrilled pineapple and mozzarella with the most amazing smoky flavour and daring sweet basil oil for starters. We then enjoyed the slow roast pork fillet accompanied with a Kentish apple mash and a cider brandy sauce. To finish, we enjoyed the most wonderful triple chocolate brownie and marshmallow ice cream. This is up in my list of favourite restaurants by far,and I’d give it an eleven by ten. To top our night off we met the head chef, Mark Livingstone, who we found very charming and also Sonia the hostess. I would recommend this place to all.

I went to the glasshouse last weekend and had a wonderful time, the place is unusual but in its own way cute, it is very cosy and has a lovely feel to it. All the staff seemed happy to help and were very polite and knowledgeable. The only negative was the wine we wanted was out of stock, but we were offered a good replacement.
To start, I had the capriccio of lamp, which was great a little pricey but worth it, my wife had the crab salad, which was very nice lots of nice flavours, the presentation was excellent. For mains, I had the chicken stuffed with feta and wrapped in Parma ham, my wife had the duck and we were both very happy with the meal.
We heard from friends that the desserts are a must try, and they were right, the dessert menu has great variety, I chose the ginger and butterscotch cheesecake same as the rest of the meal was beautifully presented and made to the highest quality, my wife had the strawberry shortcake, she was a little reluctant to order it as was put of by the balsamic ice cream but when she received it looked amazing and the balsamic ice cream was a great hit.
I would definitely recommend the Glasshouse as we had a great night out and it was that good I have booked to have my fortieth birthday party there.
