I recently visited Glenskirlie House after a gap of about two years during which they’ve completed the castle building, which looks lovely. The rooms are kept extremely warm and a significant improvement was that they have discontinued their former routine of showing everyone a large tray of raw fish on ice while having our pre-dinner drinks. There were no vegetarian hors d'oeuvres but complimentary meat and fish hors d'oeuvres. For vegetarians, there was no choice of starters and mains. The lentil soup starter from the day's specials may have been vegetarian but this was not clear. I would suggest ringing in advance to find out what's on the menu for vegetarians. Having said that, I did like the food - it was well cooked and presented prettily. The staff were friendly and attentive and I will be going back.

We went to Glenskirlie House for lunch last Monday and found the menu to be limited. While ordering we were told that there was no salmon or lasagne, which made the choice even more limited. It was a special occasion and I didn't want to upset my partner, so we decided to stay. Glass of House white was expensive and the large glass was only 175ml. Food was nice though but we will not visit again as their choices are limited.
