Award winning Chef Aidan McCormack and Janette have taken over the running of the Globe Inn, serving fine food, beer and wines. Aidan brings his thirty years experience of working in the finest country house hotels and restaurants in England to the Globe Inn offering the freshest local produce that he can source; with fresh fish from Rye harbour, organic meat from Wickham manor farm and fruit and vegetables from the garden of England.
Aidan produces excellent and interesting food in a contemporary British style. With a great selection of house wines, hand pulled local beers and very friendly service, you will enjoy the experience of discovering how a good pub combined with a restaurant should operate.

I went there for a meal with my family on the night before my wedding. What a fantastic and superb evening we had! The food was great and so was the wine. It's well worth a visit.

The restaurant is in a lovely setting and the atmosphere is most welcoming. I enjoyed listening to the keyboard player. The food was nothing too special given its price. I have eaten better, tastier food and at more reasonable prices. The scallop starter was interesting but at £9 I thought it would have more flavour. The main courses were fine but still a bit pricey, £18 for saddle of lamb and £16 for chicken casserole. I was extremely disappointed with the size of the ice-cream, tiny little scoops for £5. All the staff were courteous and I did feel the owners were just trying to be a bit too pretentious with their service. I think it would improve with time.
