Goldbrick House Description

Goldbrick House is a conversion of two Georgian townhouses and a Victorian factory into a multi faceted space. Situated on historic Park Street it incorporates a café bar, champagne and cocktail bar, restaurant, terrace and private rooms.

The menus at their two AA Rosette restaurant are generally modern European in style with a slight Mediterranean twist alongside some formula British classics thrown in for good measure. A choice of eight starters from the dinner menu includes dressed crab on toast with preserved lemon, black pepper and dill, ham hock and parsley broth and homemade oxtail ravioli. Main courses bring in options between meat and fish with hake fillet alongside bubble and squeak, spinach, crispy bacon and Hollandaise; pork belly and winter Wellington. Winterberry and white chocolate clafoutis or hot chocolate fondant make for an interesting finish.

Their private rooms can be used for business meetings, presentations, private dining, champagne and canapés or parties.

Your Reviews of Goldbrick House

Tomo (13 October 2009)

I ate there without booking one Thursday evening; the restaurant was busy, but we enjoyed a drink in the bar whilst a table was being prepared, the bar service was studied and slow cocktail barman style. However, the restaurant service was impeccable very attentive, the whole place had an energetic, hospitable feel, the food was delicious, the wines well presented and the whole experience fitted our evening perfectly. I'll be back.

When one of the country's most respected and leading critics says that a restaurant in this group is 'the best Italian Restaurant outside London' it is time to take them seriously. Britain's love ...
