Goodfellows
5 Sadler Street, Wells, BA5 2RR
Goodfellows is a charming restaurant run by a husband and wife team of Adam and Martine Fellows, located in what is acknowledged as the smallest city in England. Seafood is a main catch and the fish comes from the boats off the Cornish and Devon coast. The cooking follows a Modern European theme with an occasional foray into the Mediterranean. With Adam at the helm of affairs in the kitchen and years of experience at various Michelin starred establishments under his belt, diners can be rest assured that whether it's a chilled gazpacho with olives and basil or a hake with coriander mash and saffron-scented sage, dishes are cooked innovatively and flavours assert themselves. Next door is the patisserie where you could choose between homemade croissants or Danish pastries for breakfast; soups, sandwiches and beautifully presented dishes for lunch and French brasserie specials such as cassoulet and bouillabaisse in the evening.Goodfellows is a charming restaurant run by a husband and wife team of Adam and Martine Fellows, located in what is acknowledged as the smallest city in England.

REVIEWS OF Goodfellows
Rosie Inge (19 October 2009)
I've been to Goodfellows' sister Sadler Street Cafe three times in the last week. They've got a brilliant offer of two courses plus a glass of wine for £10 for lunch; and for the rest of October and November, if you are going to a film in the city, you can have the same deal either before or after the Show. Whether you are eating in the Seafood Restaurant, Adam's speciality or in the Cafe, the food is simply superb: the standard of creativity, local produce, presentation and above all taste, is magnificent.
Worcester Woman (11 November 2008)
We dropped into Goodfellows café-patisserie for an impromptu lunch and really enjoyed our food. However, we were not greeted when we came in, and had our table set and cleaned wordlessly by the lady in charge. The food was great, but smiles and welcome were decidedly thin on the ground.
