Gourmet Pizza Company - Gabriel's Wharf Description

This branch of the small Gourmet Pizza Company is situated in the popular little shopping area of Gabriel's Wharf. Its Thameside location makes it a particularly popular place to dine during the summer months when you can eat al fresco looking out across the water. However, throughout the year you'll find great pizzas from the classic to more unusual concoctions that are certain to tempt you.

Your Reviews of Gourmet Pizza Company - Gabriel's Wharf

Eleanor, SE1 (22 November 2008)

Don't be mistaken, the bad reviews might have been from people who still want to be able to get a seat on a Sunday. The food is good; it's a pizza restaurant, right? Get over yourselves. They do perfectly respectable Italian style pizza and some odd ones on the menu as well, mind you. Although you will not meet an Italian waiter there; they are all from other countries although I have never bothered to ask, it has something of the feeling of a real Italian place because it is accommodating, warm and welcoming. I have dined there many times, it's a favourite haunt, and I have always found the staff to be friendly, efficient etc. I now also have three small children to add to the mix, you will find they have lots of high chairs, and the members of staff go out of their way to find somewhere to put your pushchair, and they might even bounce your baby for a short while as you make in-roads into your dinner. On the wine thing, okay then, so buy a bottle!

Paola (17 July 2008)

The food was okay, not great. We ordered pizza and it tasted like some inexpensive frozen pizzas. The worse thing was that we ordered wine and found that we were charged for large glasses when it was a normal small size. It is rather expensive considering what you are getting and I would rather pay the same amount elsewhere. Be very careful when you order wine as apparently the waiters are meant to ask if you want a large or small glass. We were not asked but were charged for large glasses at £6.10 a glass. Not a nice experience and will never return again.
