Grand Union Description

As far as pubs go The Grand Union is pretty special. Originally a Victorian public house, the décor has received just the right amount of updating without ridding the place of its original character. Improvements are most obvious when it comes to the menu, which is the work of talented chef Richard Shucksmith. There are traditional pub grub offerings in the form of real comfort food style pies but the true variety and flare comes in the form of dishes such as red mullet cooked in banana leaves served with delicately flavoured coconut rice. They also serve an excellent roast that makes this the perfect place to while away a pleasant Sunday afternoon.
