The Grapevine was established in the heart of Amherst in nineteen-eighty-three and has since gained a reputation for its food and ambience. Owner's Tom and Liza combine their other passion, scuba diving, by using seven salt water aquariums, to lend a unique atmosphere to the restaurant.

The menu features a dinner movies package that includes broccoli stuffed chicken, deep fried shrimp, stuffed pork chop, crab cake, deep fried sea scallops and baked haddock. Guests can choose any two to create their own combination. The dishes are served with homemade rolls and butter, coleslaw, red skinned mashed potatoes, lattice cut French fries and rice pilaf. Desserts appeal with creations such as Italian lemon cream cake, a delicate white cake with lemon filling and a vanilla crumb crust and layered chocolate and peanut butter mousse inside an Oreo cookie shell, topped with chocolate drizzle and peanuts vying for your attention.
