Green, The Description
A first offering from the London Gastropub Co. with a pronounced West Indian flavour as evidenced by the wonderful ackee and saltfish souflee and the spiced black bream roasted plantain. The style is smart with considerable ingenuity displayed in equipping the place with forlorn quality material that has taken on new life and lustre. The fact that it was formerly a snooker hall run by and for the local Conservatives will reinforce the good news that irony is alive and well. A sensible wine list is part of a battery of cocktails and beers which will please those for whom eating is an essential adjunct to the main business of the evening.

Having recently moved to Willesden Green, I was surprised to discover a friendly and trendy local bar and restaurant. The food was great. The wonderful and authentic jerk chicken with plantain and coconut rice was simply great. It was priced reasonably with two courses for £16.95 and a free glass of bubbly. Enjoy!

I had a wonderful surprise when on Valentines Day my partner took me to The Green restaurant in Willesden. I never realised that it was actually a restaurant, I thought it was a wine bar, so when I entered the premises I was thrilled to see how much effort had been put in to make such a wonderful ambiance, we were made to feel like we were the only couple dinning and the food was fantastic especially the monkfish. My partner and I left on a real high and needless to say we have been back since to just as great a reception. Thank you to The Green for a wonderful evening.
