Green Welly Stop, The

The recently renovated Green Welly Stop has a forty-year-old history and is today a far cry from its humble beginnings as a post office and then a general store. It has reinvented itself constantly with not only refurbishment during this time, but also by adding on a snack shop, outdoor store, Whisky Galore and filling station that have made this a much awaited stop en route the West Highlands.

The restaurant's menu focuses on dishes that make for light snacks as well as elaborate three-course meals. In addition to international favourites, lasagne and pasta bolognaise, they have a choice of soups and a selection of traditional dishes such as Scotch broth and stovies. Vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements need not be disappointed as they offer several options such as Hebridean leek pie and potato bake to name but two.
