Greenbank Description
Greenbank Hotel is the ideal accommodation if you are planning a holiday in scenic Llangollen or if you are just looking for a weekend getaway from the mad bustle of city life. Comfortably furnished rooms, attentive service and a delightful courtyard where you can lounge around make this a wonderful place to stay. The restaurant offers café style food during the mornings, light meals such as sandwiches, salads and quiches during lunch and a delicious a la carte in the evenings.
Typically expect starters of teriyaki beef skewers served with sticky rice, followed by pork chops glazed with honey and grain mustard with potatoes while carnivores can enjoy the grilled steaks served with a variety of sauces, either Stilton, pepper, leek or mushroom. For dessert, there are delicious homemade confections, cakes, muffins and other sweet nothings and the eclectic wine list favours the New World considerably with a number of reasonably priced options.

I dined there on Saturday and the Welsh beef was amazing, I thought the taste was even better than Australian beef! The dessert menu was extensive, too many yummy treats to choose from. The white chocolate and raspberry crème brûlée was superb. Service was very friendly and the restaurant had a real atmosphere about it. It’s nice to find such a great restaurant, especially for a small town.

I recently stayed at the fantastic Greenbank and ate several times in the restaurant. The quality of the food, presentation and service was over and above what I have experienced in all of my many visits to the Wales, Scotland and the UK. Even better than what I have experienced here at home. Well done to the chef and his staff. I can’t wait for the next visit.
