Greenfields Deli & Bistro

Greenfields is a welcome addition to the culinary scene in the small but delightful village of Thelwall, near Warrington. Deli by day and bistro by night seems to be the concept that has charmed the locals as well as visitors, along with the wide range of items like cheese, meats, preserves, and oils that dot their shelves.

Step inside for breakfast, hearty or light it matters not, including options such as scrambled egg on buttered crumpets and Welsh rarebit. From the à la carte, the oven roasted English brie with apricot or quince glaze makes a splendid starter, giving way to main course of slow braised Cheshire lamb shank on colcannon mash and grain mustard with honey jus.
