Grenache Restaurant opened in September 2008 bringing a modern British fine dining experience to Walkden and quickly earned a reputation for its cuisine. Grenache is decorated in modern style with a beige, copper and chocolate colour scheme and above the ground-level restaurant is a large bar area where you can relax and enjoy pre or post-meal drinks at your leisure. There is a 'Friends of Grenache' club as well as regular events including cookery demonstrations and wine tastings.

A weekly changing menu boasts of starters such as roast butternut squash soup with crème fraîche, chicken liver parfait with tomato chutney and toasted brioche or Cornish scallops and spiced Lincolnshire pork belly. Mains see rump of lamb, red cabbage, thyme fondant and red wine jus or wild mushroom risotto, fried duck egg with rocket and micro herb salad sitting amongst other tempting choices. If you prefer steak then order prime Scottish sirloin steak, haggis and chunky chips.

Grenache is also the only restaurant in Salford to be featured in The Good Food Guide two years on the run.
