Greyfriar, The Description

The Greyfriar is a 16th century Coaching Inn, with low ceilings and original exposed beams, boasting a daily changing a la carte menu utilising seasonal and mainly local ingredients. Family run with a relaxed atmosphere, all well behaved humans and dogs are welcome to dine, or to take liquid refreshment inside or in the well maintained garden and patio. This establishment has won Fullers "Rural Pub of the Year" twice and been runner up twice in the last 5 years! The beautiful and historic village of Chawton is also home to the Jane Austen Museum and the Chawton House Library Collection.
