I had a meal with my family party at Griffin Head on Sunday. The food was excellent; unfortunately the publican was extremely anti-children. We had a three month old baby, and were threatened with immediate eviction from the pub the moment he cried, and when we left we were given rude comments from the publican.

I ate a simple meal of ham, egg and chips while sampling a local ale. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and made us feel at home. The pub is beautifully situated with large gardens which should be magnificent in the summer. Over 700 years old, I could feel the history. There are definitely worse places to spend a quiet afternoon!
