Grill at Lansdowne Place Hotel, The Description
The Grill is a new addition in an old setting (formerly the "Cuddly Dudley") and has gone unashamedly for a classical French flavour at prices that are very affordable.
Expect to find dishes like moules marinières, fillet of beef with potato rosti and red wine jus, followed by apricot and frangipane tart with passion fruit sorbet. House wine start s at £13.95.
The place is proving tremendously popular with those who like to cut a dash, perhaps the miles of crushed velvet also helps to make it extra appealing. If 'Prinny' was still living up the road I imagine he would be in on the odd night when his chef was unavailable.
