Grumbles Description

Set up in 1964, this is London's oldest bistro, and something of a 60s icon! Simple, sensibly priced Ango/French food keeps the place busy, especially in the evenings, when booking is recommended; they also have two set priced menus at lunchtime offering exceptionally good value.

Fabulous little restaurant, quirky, fun and great food. The steaks and liver are amazing and the wines very well priced.

Not only I have eaten at Grumbles but I inaugurated the place back in the 60s, I was the first chef they had, the owners at the time were Adrian Rope and Jeff, I don’t remember his surname, after 40 years I still remember the restaurant with nostalgia.
