This is a fantastic pub. Great real ales on tap. Great food and great value. Children and dog friendly too. Visited for the first time last week after a family walk. We will return and don't hesitate in recommending it to anyone.

My sister and I took our mother for dinner for her 83rd Birthday. The pub itself has an amazing character with its low beamed ceilings giving it a very cosy atmosphere. The staff were polite and attentive without being obtrusive. The menu has something for everyone and offers selection of locally sourced product. Today it included Rabbit. Not something usually found in most restaurants. The food was prompt and my steak was cooked to perfection. The sauces were perfection. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. As for the value for money, I’ve spent more on less quality meals before.
