Guinea Grill, The Description

The Guinea pub is something of a Mayfair institution and is the preferred choice for many local Londoners to enjoy a good pint of real ale before checking out the pub's restaurant, known as The Guinea Grill. Here you'll find a separate restaurant area offering far better quality than the standard pub fare. The traditional pies such as steak and kidney are a particular favourite, as are the other meat heavy dishes such as a flavoursome char-grilled steak and the classic mixed grill.

With it's great old world charm and what feels like an exclusive members club for a restaurant The Guinea must be one of my favourite restaurants in London. Ricky the doorman always greets me as though I am a long lost friend. I always have the rib eye steak with dauphinoise and a sneaky sticky toffee pudding to top it off. Trust me if I had a last meal this would be it.
