Haandi - Knightsbridge Description

Haandi is a smart restaurant on the equally smart Brompton Road serving North Indian cuisine, it could be considered to be in the top half dozen Indian restaurants in London, as their cooking really is quite distinguished. They are well known for their excellent view of the chefs at work and the fact that many dishes come served in individual clay pots known as haandis, hence the name of the restaurant. Dishes of particular note include lasoni prawn masala; a recipe using roasted garlic, peppers, tomatoes and spring onions to flavour the prawns. They also serve an excellent selection of beautifully marinated kebabs that taste especially good with their freshly baked bread.

This was a most enjoyable and memorable evening and it is very hard to fault anything about Haandi. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were treated exceptionally well and had the best meal I have ever tried.
