I visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time after it was recommended by a friend. The young woman who took our order was not very friendly and seemed almost put out by having to serve us. I enquired whether a gluten free alternative bun was available which it wasn’t, but was told I could order my burger without the bun although it would cost the same! Two of our meals arrived within 15 minutes which was impressive; however we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the third meal to arrive. That said, we were informed her meal was on its way and were given a free bowl of chips as a goodwill gesture; so we felt the young woman had redeemed herself. Overall I was impressed with the meal which was filling and enjoyable. Please consider incorporating a gluten free bun to your menu – there are a lot of people who have the colic’s condition and we would be very appreciative.

We have eaten here when we have visited by narrowboat, in April 2007 and 2008 and have had good meals and even recommended the place to other boaters. However, we are due to visit the area again in September and were looking forward to another visit but we are having second thoughts... any more reviews??
