Your Reviews of Hare Restaurant, The
Flemmo (7 March 2008)
We went there on a Friday night - good attention from the staff despite being busy. Enjoyable food and both the seafood and the steak were good with nice stylish greens and potato. Good wine and the price tag of the whole event reflects the ambience and atmosphere. Excellent - not quite but pretty close!
Nick Williams (11 January 2008)
My wife and I recently visited the Hare for lunch and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The lunch menu costs £23 per head for three courses, which we felt was most acceptable, considering the quality of the food and delicious combination of flavours. I can thoroughly recommend the sirloin of beef and my wife thought the bream was the best she had ever tasted. The place is quite smart, but very relaxed and welcoming. Bruno, the boss, welcomed us and made us feel at home. He told us that the restaurant changed hands in early 2007 and the aim since then has been to increase the value of what they offer, while maintaining a high standard. Our only problem was with the plates - their design makes it difficult to rest ones irons, without them sliding into the sauce. That said, I would not hesitate to recommend the Hare to any lover of fine food and wine in pleasant surroundings.
