Harrow Inn
Main Street, West Ilsley, Newbury, RG20 7AR
A pleasant 17th century inn with cosy views over the cricket square and duck pond. Like most pubs nowadays its preoccupation with food equals if not exceeds its original purpose of selling beer and other suitable inebriants likely to render you immune to the boredom of cricket. The menu will tickle your tastebuds without any doubt and there is a good range of choices. The cheese selection is well chosen. For wine expect about seven or so offered at £2 a glass or £11.95 a bottle, with others at nothing in excess of £20 a bottle. Should you require further anaesthesia there is always Somerset Royal Cider Brandy and that doesn't do the trick you'll just have to watch the cricket after all.A pleasant 17th century inn with cosy views over the cricket square and duck pond. REVIEWS OF Harrow Inn
Lynne Smith (5 June 2008)
The Harrow is a superb, family run pub and restaurant in a pretty Berkshire village. The location is fabulous overlooking the village duck pond and cricket green. The food is excellent and we’ve eaten there several times since the Watling family took over a couple of years ago. The atmosphere is very nice and it’s a perfect place to relax with friends either in the lovely gardens during summer or by the crackling log fire during autumn or winter. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Good for Sunday Lunch. Lively village pub atmosphere. Roast beef really tasty. Good selection of vegetables. Service can be a bit slow. Recommended.
