Harry Morgan's - St Johns Wood

29-31 St Johns Wood High Street, London, NW8 7NH

Harry Morgan's is aimed at the local Jewish community, serving up kosher style homemade dishes from breakfast through to evening meals. There's also a popular deli counter from which you can buy fresh produce to take home and cook for yourself, or as a complete takeout meal. Dining in however is a relaxed and informal experience with staff who really know how to look after you. On the menu you'll find all the classic dishes, from that ultimate Jewish comfort food, the chicken noodle soup, to the hot salt beef and tongue sandwich. There are also a host of hearty meat dishes like the worsht, beef salami and eggs with two Viennas, calves' liver with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and Hungarian goulash and rice.

REVIEWS OF Harry Morgan's - St Johns Wood

Geoff (7 September 2007)

A main course of gefilte fish, three cold fish balls for £9.75. No vegetables. No salad. No bread. My (Jewish) grandmother would be turning in her grave.

Gary (22 November 2004)

This restaurant is an excellent deli. The service is excellent and the people are nice. Try the schnitzel, apple strudel and falafel balls. The matzoh ball soup is good too, though the matzoh balls are not the best. I would definitely return here when I next could.
