To my mind one of London's leading Indian restaurants. A new chef imported from the famous Taj Hotel in Mumbai has produced an inspired menu with subtle influences from throughout the Indo-China region and beyond. There's a mix of the tradional and modern, and many dishes unique to Hason Raja. The lightly spiced abadi king prawn starter with a tartar sauce stands out. Mains include a monkfish tikka, dumka lobster, and duck breast served in anise and gooseki parchy. A keen favourite is the chef's signature dish - shathkora mangsho, diced lamb shank cooked with wild Bangladeshi mushrooms. It’s well worth a visit.
