Hat and Tun, The

Being the latest addition in the heart of Hatton Garden from the Martin brothers' burgeoning stable, The Hat and Tun is all set to have a list of admirers. Plenty of dark wood, stuffed boar heads and colossal mirrors bear the distinctive markings of an old world boozer and the nonchalant atmosphere makes this an ideal place to unwind after a hard day at work or just indulge in a pint.

On the food side expect some good English bar staples such as steak and ale pie with mash and liquor, a classic Ploughman's, and pork pie and pickled eggs. There's also a Huntsman's lunch of Berkshire dry cured ham, pickled onions, chutney and piccalilli, crusty bread and apple, and doorstep sandwiches of cold roast pork or cheese and tomato ready to be devoured during the express lunch hour.

All this should go down well with a selection of real cask ales, draught beers, wines and premium spirits.
