Hawarden Brasserie, The Description
This stylish brasserie is sister restaurant to the award winning Brasserie 10/16 in Chester and is also owned by Neal Bates and Mark Jones. Like its bigger sister it's also familiar with winning awards, having already won the prestigious Cheshire Life "North Wales Restaurant of the Year" title.
Situated in the pretty village of Hawarden the restaurant is always busy with locals, yet its convenient location and high standards means there's many that travel from further afield too. It has a relaxed intimate feel with its cool cream interiors, candlelit in the evening, and modern décor. There's also a pretty outdoor patio area for aperitifs in the summer. Friendly and helpful staff welcome you and offer guidance on the menu which is lively and clever in the best sense, the menu consists of contemporary British cuisine, often with Mediterranean influences, and there is a well balanced and enterprising wine list with 6 bottles served by the glass.
Fixed Lunch

Your Reviews of Hawarden Brasserie, The
Tracy Jones (6 March 2006)
This is an excellent local restaurant to which we have been a few times, including twice at New Year. The hospitality is great, the service is very attentive and the food is wonderful, as is the choice of wine. We have NEVER had a bad meal here, everything is carefully considered. The restaurant is small yet comfortable. New Year's menu was a set meal either three or five courses depending on the time of the sitting, 3 courses was £45 which is a very good price for this lovely restaurant. Very highly recommended.
Mauricio Marzal (2 July 2004)
Located ideally on Hawarden's main road, The Brasserie is surprisingly nicely decorated and furnished. The fixed price menus are fair and the cuisine is exquisite. The only inconvenience was the excessive length of time that the dishes took to be served, although that was on a Monday night, and I guess there are more staff working during peak times.
