Set in the pretty village of East Cocker, Helyar Arms is an idyllic 15th century inn that has a distinctive personality and a pleasant charm to it. Clean, simple and fresh flavours abound, with an emphasis on superior ingredients. Expect to find, sautéed portobello mushrooms on toast with roasted garlic butter and a chicken liver parfait amongst starters and beer-battered deep fried cod and home baked honey glazed ham amongst pub classics. Tartlet of baby red mullet with leeks and caviar cream and roast corn fed chicken breast served with lyonnaise potatoes are amongst more substantial dishes.

Desserts such as Baileys iced nougat glace with warm chocolate sauce and pistachio shortbread make for excellent finales.
