Henry's Cafe Bar - Cardiff

Our group of twelve visited it for a pre-theatre meal. I rang before hand to ask if it was okay to bring along a cake to celebrate the birthday of one in the group. The person I spoke to was really friendly and helpful and, as we were all coming straight from work, said that I could drop the cake in, earlier in the day. To our delight, when we arrived a table had been reserved for us and this was decorated with helium balloons tied to every chair. After a very nice meal, served by a friendly waitress with an amazing memory, the cake was brought in complete with lit candles, serviettes etc. I did mean to write to say how much we appreciated and enjoyed the evening but, as often happens, neglected to do this, so I am very pleased to now be able to say - thank you for making it a really special visit.

This restaurant is lovely! The food is delectable, I had the Cajun tuna and it was superb. I felt truly naughty by eating the chocolate orange pudding, but it was worth it. I've been back three times since. It’s highly recommended – the prices are reasonable and the service is prompt. The staff are friendly. Shame it is tucked away down a side street. Go if you get the chance.
