Hermitage, The Description

An unpretentious place with 1920s style French cafe decor with reliable cooking and a relaxed, buzzy atmosphere. The food is sourced locally, and all cooked freshly. The restaurant specialises in fish and seafood, but has a decent selection of signature meat dishes, including duck with cassis, good English fillet, and guinea fowl with a sherry and damson sauce. Weather permitting, there is a lovely large garden with a sizeable fountain, this is used for morning coffees, lunches, and evening meals.
