I recently visited the Padwell and was met by friendly staff, a tasteful dinning setting and food which was a gastronomic delight. Chef Hervé's presentation of food made me eager to 'tuck in' and the taste and flavours were not a disappointment. From beginning to end and very enjoyable evening; I will be back.

What a transformation ! this was but a hovel six months ago and now it can compete with the very best. I had pan seared scallops with a chilli and lime zest dressing and it was so well presented and plenty of fresh sweet meat to boot. The venison with port and shallot reduction and dauphinoise was stunning, buttered carrots with corainder, sauteed green cabbage with chestnut.....wow . The lemon panna cotta with coulis to finish was perfect. I had the malbec for £15 and it was delicious. £35 all in and the service was polite and courteous. I left a £10 tip and the waitress said it was too much! 11/10 awesome.
