REVIEWS OF Hideaway Restaurant & Lodge

Chris B (22 June 2008)

It been a year or so since we went to The Hideaway and it will be a long time before we'll consider going again. The food was average at best, but the service we received was atrocious. The restaurant was two thirds full, so not overly busy, yet we were seated, ordered and ate the first and the main courses in under 35 minutes. The waitress stood with our main courses while we finished our starters. We felt pressurised to eat with no time to talk. We would have had a pudding and a second bottle of wine had it been more relaxed. I think they could do much better.
