Part of a developing trend, Hudsons offers comfortable and pleasant surroundings in which to enjoy your coffee and croissant whilst mulling over the details of your latest love or most recent film, that recent holiday even. Whilst reclining in the comfortable leather chairs as you shake out the stress you can also be sizing up a truly vast range of gourmet food delicacies tastefully displayed in the deli. The whole experience is thoroughly civilised and good for the soul as well as the palate.

We felt extremely comfortable, from the moment four of us walked in on a rainy Saturday morning. The hot chocolate was absolutely perfect as was the toasted teacake served with loads of butter. My friends confirmed the coffee was also excellent. A look like real fire in the fire place would have added to the atmosphere. A super find in the middle of Birmingham.

Hudsons has moved to Colmore Row, opposite Starbucks. It retains the same idea as when it was in the City Plaza, but with a reduced menu. It has had a few sticky patches since the move but now seems to be on the way up again, if you have been disappointed since the relocation then give them another try, you might just agree with me.
