Having loved Putney for quite some time, I finally convinced my wife and daughter to come along for an overnight stay after ten years of asking! A stay in the wonderful Putney Lodge was a must as was a visit to Hudson’s and neither let me down. I love Hudson’s for its lack of pretentiousness and its friendly atmosphere. The staff were as good as always - and all three of us agreed that it was the best food we had eaten out for quite some time. I highly recommend this place to anyone paying a visit to this lovely part of SW London.

Hudson’s has to be one my all time favourite restaurants. It is one of those places where the quality is just consistently excellent. It has a very happy and friendly atmosphere but mostly it’s the food that is just delicious and so inexpensive for what it is. The portion sizes are substantial and the food is tasty, home cooked kind. It was more a relaxed evening than a smart evening. They do good Sunday brunches as well. I love it!
