I-Chai

1015 Crow Road, Glasgow, G13 1JP

Good food is a very important and sophisticated part of Chinese culture and it is this part that is most familiar to a foreigner attempting to understand it. In fact, this style of cuisine is so well loved that is not uncommon to find Chinese restaurants in every part of the world. Experienced travellers swear by both availability and quality of wholesome Chinese food in unexpected quarters during their frequent sojourns. Not surprisingly then, I-chai, the Chinese restaurant which opened in the West End of Glasgow in 2005 is popular and busting with activity. It has become synonymous with dependable, quality Chinese food. Comfortably decorated without being opulent, the restaurant offers an extensive choice and also has a la carte and pre-theatre menus.

The restaurant is known for its sweet and sour chicken, and also roast duck with fresh strawberry and plum sauce. The I-chai ribs too are well loved, as are their Thai dishes. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and children too.

I-chai can be booked for private parties, and to make special occasions more memorable, they offer a crystal champagne service. The staff are friendly and efficient making it a pleasure to dine here.

REVIEWS OF I-Chai

Angelique54 (30 January 2012)

The I-Chai is one of many restaurants in my area, but it is by far one of the best! The chicken curry is the best I've ever tasted (and I've tasted quite a few in my time). The place is clean, the sevice quick and the food is great. I have had many a family celebration in this restaurant and would highly recommend it! P.S. Sometimes during the week they do a special 3 course evening meal (curries included) for about £10 per head. tasty and fab!

Wilma (26 May 2011)

I went to the I-Chai restaurant for my step daughter’s 18th birthday last night on Wednesday in May 2011. We had starters, then main meal and side dishes - everything was wonderful. The food taste and presentation were great. Staff were great. We weren't rushed at all and would definitely go back!
