Iggs Restaurant Description

Buried in the middle of the Old Town is Iggs, said to be owned by a gentleman whose familiar name this is, offering a welcome touch of Espana on those odd days when auld Reekie is living up to its familiar name. The addition of the tapas bar, Barioja, next door, means a fully Spanish experience is now possible!

In the restaurant the good produce for which Scotland is so justly noted is presented in a broadly Mediterranean mode, though Spain has a good say in the matter also. Seafood features strongly and it's a jolly sight more wholesome than some of those unfortunate creatures that struggle around in the Med.

The wine list has a strong leaning towards Spain - all of it personally selected by Iggy, who enjoys choosing fine wines to complement his menus - which is fine given that some decent bins have found their way into the equation, with some notably good reds amongst them. House wine at £13.50.
