Independence, The Description

The Independence is one of a growing number of new breed gastro-pubs. Here the emphasis is less on the pub and more on the fine food on offer. Despite the smart looking dining area the atmosphere retains a friendly and relaxed approach that keeps its regulars coming back for more. The menu lists dishes such as lightly cooked lemon balm marinated salmon and a tender tamari beef fillet; expect to pay around £12-14 for a main course.
