India Quay

A really nice evening at the India Quay, Glasgow. All the staff were attentive and first rate. It was nice to be in modern light and comfortable surroundings as opposed to the more traditional style of Indian restaurant. Regular diners were clearly in attendance and welcomed back by the efficient and very friendly staff. Food was excellent although I would recommend the chili chicken and it is not for the fainthearted - very hot!

Before the Katherine Jenkins concert tonight at 7pm, we had booked a table at India Quay for 6pm for the pre-theatre menu. It took ten minutes before we were able to give our order, and a further fifteen minutes for the first course to be delivered. Having finished the starter at 6.35, at 6.55pm I had to chase up the main course. In the end we had to shovel down our food and ask for the bill, which had been 'misplaced', so it was another six minutes before we were able to settle it and then race to the Clyde Auditorium just in time for the start of the concert. If the India Quay advertises a pre-theatre menu they should consider the limited amount of time that diners have, and serve their customers accordingly. We'll not be back.
