Offering homemade and authentic Indian cuisine that blends the traditional and contemporary, the Indian Zilla Restaurant serves a range of dishes from across the Indian sub-continent made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients flavoured by traditional herbs and spices. Run by owner and Chef Manoj Vasaikar, the restaurant's name is drawn from the Indian word for a small district which is apt as the restaurant's aim is to bring a small dash of Indian flavour to this leafy district of southwest London.
 
The varied menu combines tastes from different regions of India and includes starters of mussel rasam, mussels simmered in spiced tomato and tamarind broth, samosa with channa masala and vegetable bhanavla, a unique take on the onion bhaji. Main courses include lobster balchao, a luxurious Goan dish of lobster cooked in hot sauce, spices and jiggery; chicken makhani and Malabar chicken curry. A range of biryanis, rice and Indian breads complete the meal.

Finish your meal with authentic Indian desserts of gulab jamun, a renowned delicacy of caramelised milk dumplings served with vanilla ice cream, and kulfi ice cream served with mango, roasted coconut, Malibu and saffron.
