Indigo Restaurant - Chelsea
153 Fulham Road, Chelsea, London, SW3 6SN
Formerly known as 'Love India' and 'Tandoori of Chelsea', Indigo was probably the first to introduce Londoners to the delights of the tandoori style. They now serve organic dishes, locally sourced whenever possible, from a recently updated menu that still includes old favourites, which satisfied customers more than five decades ago. The ambience is peaceful, and the basement location away from the bustle brings a sense of calm. Start your meal with a cocktailm, and choose your wine from an up-to-date list compiled by one of the country's leading sommeliers. A Malabar crab cake or king prawn puri provides a perfect start followed by a platter of succulent tandoori lamb, chicken and seafood.Formerly known as 'Love India' and 'Tandoori of Chelsea', Indigo was probably the first to introduce Londoners to the delights of the tandoori style. A Malabar crab cake or king prawn puri provides a perfect start followed by a platter of succulent tandoori lamb, chicken and seafood. The curries are helpfully divided into sections based on different styles such as handi, korma, bhuna, dupiaza, Madras and vindaloo. Since many Indians are vegetarians there is an array of delicacies like Bombay potatoes and Gujrati pumpkin.
They provide a takeaway and home delivery service, have special offers at lunchtime, and feature a buffet spread on Sundays.

REVIEWS OF Indigo Restaurant - Chelsea
Elizabeth Usher (5 November 2009)
Wonderful food - particularly good vegetarian choices but my companion also commented on the quality of chicken in her dish. Portions are served to fine dining standards, yet there is a relaxed sophistication in the ambience. Good prices and excellent wine list and we had a lovely evening in the heart of Chelsea.
TCFK (24 October 2008)
This is a spacious Indian restaurant with the finest organic ingredients. It was so spacious we were the only ones in there all night! Though we spent a huge amount there I doubt it even paid for the doorman. Undoubtedly the food was good, what you would expect in a high standard Indian restaurant, but 4.50 for three poppodums and all main courses at the ten quid mark was high, organic or not. Avoid going during the week, and try the buffet on a Sunday.
