Indigo Restaurant Description
One Aldwych remains one of the capital's slickest hotels and its Indigo Restaurant is one of the principal reasons for its popularity. Start your visit with a drink in the buzzing Lobby Bar before strolling up to the restaurant's mezzanine area.
The pre and post theatre menu is particularly good value at £19.75 for three courses. A typical meal on the modern European menu might include the likes of bresaola with mustard leaf and beetroot salad, followed by a main course of roast guinea fowl, sauté of artichokes, linguine, chicken velouté and herb salad or fillet of bream, crab crushed potatoes, red sorrel, basil and caper dressing. Finish with desserts such as red currant soufflé with yogurt ice cream or chocolate fondant with orange jelly, white chocolate mousse and amaretto ice cream. At weekends, enjoy a lazy day with friends or family over brunch at Indigo.

We enjoyed a delicious meal before the theatre in August. The service was excellent. We had eaten there before two years ago and were anxious to visit again. We were not disappointed, except for the change in menu and no gorgonzola soup was being served. Our waiter ascertained that the previous chef did not leave any of his recipes. An entertaining brief conversation with the waiter was relaxing. He urged us to stay at One Aldwych on our next visit.
