Inn at Farnborough, The Description

The Inn at Farnborough is a 16th century Grade II listed free house situated in the picturesque village of Farnborough, 6 miles north of Banbury. The stylish surroundings are ideal to unwind over real ales and wholesome food. You could visit them for lunch or dinner after exploring the Civil War battle ground at Edge Hill or for much needed refreshment after a walk in the surrounding countryside.

Consider plates of lovely baked organic salmon fingers, a grilled Aberdeenshire beef burger or the mini chocolate pot from the little gourmet menu, served anytime during the day. The inn's ciabattas or mezze platters from the little bites section are perfect for those wanting to have something to eat in between meals.

The a la carte menu features modern British dishes such as slow cooked free range pork, Devonshire crab croquettes and roast breast of maize fed duck as well as the great British classics of beef and Hook Norton ale stew.

A new function room called The Zoo caters for special occasions.

Your Reviews of Inn at Farnborough, The

Dixeychicken (10 March 2006)

Beautiful old inn with obvious high standards. Great for a treat. Well presented food which is usually superbly cooked although I had a long slow cook joint of beef which was so intensely flavoured it was almost too much. Puddings were truly sublime.

Beatrice Smith (1 August 2005)

Yummy, lovely food, although portion sizes are not very big, can turn out to be expensive, but perfect for an extra special pub lunch.
