Lunching out in December can be a bit fraught for anyone with bah-humbug tendencies. No worries on that score here, although turkey and tinsel were present in moderation for those who must have them. Dining at The Inn for All Seasons in a very informl affair. The staff are relaxed and efficient and the service is good. In between courses you can amuse yourself by trying to discover whether your table sports two items of tableware from the same service.

The menu is small enough to permit fresh ingredients to be used throughout, the recipes are fairly simple and the dishes are well presented. A starter and main course would be around £16 and a dessert would take that up to about £20. House wine comes in at about £10 a bottle and the wine list contains a small but very interesting selection with prices going up to £550. A page of bin-ends and special selections is well worth checking out.
