This has to be one of the best locations in London. However the reviews it is generating (early 2005) are to say the least mixed and could be summarised as "you either love it or hate it". This is sometimes one of the hallmarks of a restaurant in its formative weeks, before they start getting it right for most, if not all of the time, and it is to be hoped that this is the case here, because if you ignore the shaky reviews it is a place with enormous potential. There is an in-house bakery so the pastries are out of this world. Watch out for the mussel and cider soup, roast duck, baked cod and deep-fried pollack and chips, but take care to leave room for those wonderful Bakewell tarts and scones.This has to be one of the best locations in London.
