With the name like The Irish Oak one conjures up an image of a time-honored Irish pub with that distinct mellowness and you could hardly be more right. This place combines the best of traditional and modern pub cultures that account for its popularity and the oak, pine and mahogany beams lend warmth to the décor.

Amongst appetizers there are house quesadillas, chicken tenders, Wrigleyville sliders and N-17 Irish fries smothered in cheddar cheese and chopped bacon. For the main event there is always the customary Galway beef and Guiness stew and shepherd's pie or if you'd prefer something light it could be a rib eye steak or tuna melt sandwich. Keep an eye open for the daily specials menu, which could feature a skyy cocktail and works burger, believed to be the best in town.
